The Alternative Format Meetings Voting Entity (AFMVE) represents all CoDA Meetings & Groups around the world that do not meet in an In-person meeting. Since the Covid Pandemic the number of groups that are virtually online, in all different platforms, have increased dramatically. Because of the need to have every CoDA member's voice heard, even those online, the AFM Task Force was established and approved at the 2022 CoDA Service Conference, and recognized as a Voting Entity by the CoDA Board in April, 2023.

The AFMVE established an Outreach Committee to connect with CoDA Groups and virtual Meeting Members. This committee is visiting groups, bringing awareness of existence of this *NEW* Voting Entity. Every non in-person group and online meeting can choose to be represented at the CoDA Service Conference (CSC) by the AFMVE Delegates. The AFM VE Outreach Committee also relays important information, such as the upcoming CSC motions. Group Service Representatives (GSRs) help the AFMVE by speaking to their group's members and sharing those voices at AFMVE meetings.
